Most amazing dinner in Puerto Vallarta
The food is great, the ambiance is outstanding and the service is very nice
We really enjoyed the freshly made salsa at the table, the mango margarita, the seafood casserole and the tres leches

Ooooh man... I ate here with my friend on our last night in PV on September 15th. We both ordered the chicken mole and everything was amazing.

We started off by having some chips and salsa. They made our salsa right in front of us and it was really good. Perfect flavors and perfect heat.

I hadn't had mole in a very long time, so it took a couple of bites for my brain to comprehend the flavors. But it was so good with the fresh corn tortillas.
And the beans... I eat beans all the time, but it was like I tasted pinto beans for the very first time at Casa Tradicional. Perfectly cooked and so flavorful.

The decor of the restaurant is also super cute and the staff was very nice and attentive.
You have to visit this place at least once!

Great restaurant serving tasty and authentic Mexican / Jalisco food.

The salsa (pico de gallo) is prepared tableside right in front of you. If you order guacamole they prepare that tableside too.

We ordered arrachera, which is a regional specialty. It came with a leaf of cactus and panela cheese. They go together really well, but the kicker is the meat itself is tender, juicy, and very well marinated -- very flavorful.

    We will definitely come back.

TIP: There's an older gentleman with a lanyard saying "GUIAS" (guides) in front of the church. If you tell him you're going to Casa Tradicional he will give you a coupon for a free guacamole.

Excellent service. The red snapper was tasty. The mixed fajitas plate was delicious. The salsa was fire roasted and made table side. We had one appetizer, 4 drinks, 2 entrees. It was $85 USD with tip. Over all a great place to eat.

This was probably the worst meal I had in Vallarta the entire week. Not because of the people, atmosphere, or location. All of those were great.

It's located a stone's throw from the main Church right in Centro. The people, from the very moment I walked up to the door were smiling and joyous. Once inside, I was truly in a fun atmosphere with music, drinks, laughter, and food.

My issue was when I ordered the 500 peso whole red snapper. I've had wonderful examples in Vallarta over the the years. The fish was neither de-scaled fully nor was an offer made to de-bone. I've cleaned and filleted fish before. I started to take apart the fish and that's when it hits me that the entire top half was burnt badly and super dry.

I wasn't going to be able to finish a fish of this size by myself anyhow, so I removed the top half, de-boned and de-scaled what I could of the bottom half and made a dinner of it. Not a good one, but enough to sustain me til the next day. I should have stuck with beef or chicken which is what I fully intended to do before seeing the menu.

The rice and veggies were boring.

I will go back again for the atmosphere and pick a different dish for certain.
